I came to Shih, half a dozen times. Did everything he recommended and my symptoms never went away. On one of the last visits he told me that it was in my head and to learn to deal with my head. I dont think so, its not psychosomatic i know something is triggering my symptoms. On the last visit i told him that he was wrong about telling me that its in my head and he said that he never said that. That is why I'm writing this. I was treated by Dr Vijay last year and he was great. I saw him today for a different concern hoping I would receive the same empathetic feedback and treatment and I was shocked. I left his office feeling so disappointed and surprised that he showed no interest in how I feel. He left me feeling like it was such a waste of time to see him. I waited 2 months for this appointment after being hospitalized for GI pain. I wouldn’t know if he’s a good doctor or not as you can’t get a hold of him to even schedule an appointment. No one answers the phone and no one returns phone calls. Even my Dad’s primary care physician has tried getting through numerous times with no success. It’s ridiculous! We will find someone else more responsive to do my Dad’s biopsy.

In my life I’ve never had such a bad experience with a Dr. I was referred here to check status on ulcers on my stomach and hiatal hernia, Dr. Shih scheduled me for an endoscopy to “check my acid levels” with not further explanation, When I showed up I found out from a pre-op nurse they were implanting a Bravo device (Shih should to have told me this BEFORE), but I trusted him when he said I would carry on as normal. Awful! I went to him 1 time with extreme pelvic and intestinal pain . I tried to explain my complicated health . Unfortunately Dr. Shi was in a rush and very short with me . I had to cancel an appointment bc I was in the hospital so I did cancel it . Months later I tried to make the appointment and they told me he wouldn’t see me?? Very INCOMPETENT office staff, there are other doctors just as good,I would not want to go into surgery w/my dr. Not having accurate info. They didn't even have my add.,a PO BOX, instead a neighbor got it,I had ALREADY STATED I was getting a different dr. I don't know about you people, but a dr. You've seen for 3yrs should at least have your ADDRESS. Before you go to this doctor's office you really should check the reviews on other media platforms.
